Workplace learning and the use of RTO’s

I’m back again, still talking about workplace learning.

Although work-based learning is frequently self-directed and self-monitored, learners benefit by having access to a trainer/assessor to make the most of the learning opportunities they encounter in their workplace. Communication tools such as a workplace journal can assist the communication process between the learner, supervisor and trainer/assessor. Trainer/assessors have a role of helping work-based learners to learn as much as possible from and through the work that they do in the workplace.

Using RTO’s

Registered Training Organisations are required to ensure that the quality of training for work-based learning is maintained in the implementation of any employment and training arrangements. The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) provides the quality assurance arrangements to underpin the quality of training delivery, assessment and issuing of qualifications. RTOs are required to meet and maintain the standards within the AQTF.

Happy training.
