The National VET Regulator (NVR) is currently determining the fees and charges for the registration of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that will be enforced once the legislation for the new body is passed.
As there is widespread variation in fees between states and territories, it is likely that fees will change for almost all RTOs.
A draft schedule of fees and charges will be workshopped with industry and professional associations representing RTOs in late February 2011 and then submitted for approval.
The NVR will send letters out this month to all RTOs to provide key information about the upcoming transition. It will also launch a website towards the end of the month. Detailed information for RTOs in each state and territory will be available in March, and registration will begin from April to July.
