I continually see PowerPoint presentations in the VET sector that have almost got an A4 page of text on the one slide and the screen!! This not only frustrates me, but I am sure it turns off the learners.
I saw one today that was targeting blue collar workers, and it was slides and slides of text about legislation…do you think those learners took anything away from that presentation? No, well maybe that OH&S is totally too difficult to understand and they should not bother with it….This is not the message we want to get across.
So when I saw Paula’s video I wanted to share her valuable insights. Paula is a well known colleague in the VET industry and she recently established and accredited a Diploma of Presentation Skills.
Her video says my own sentiments and I couldn’t have said it better myself; so please have a look and maybe apply some change to your presentations.
