Literacy resources available from Logistics Training Council

TLISC has just released more free resources to support the implementation of Foundation Skills in the transport and logistics industry. Making the Connections (now available) A resource for industry based VET trainer/assessors who have little or no awareness of the increasing emphasis on identifying and addressing LLN issues in the competency based training and assessment framework.

There are now a total of 25 ‘What Works’ videos available to view or download for free from the new What Works for LLN website.

Three Steps to Core Skill Support (now available)

This resource models a 3-step process that any VET trainer can use to support LLN skill development. While tailored to vocational trainers delivering TLI10 qualifications at AQF levels 1 and 2, and in particular units from TLI21610 Certificate II in Warehousing Operations, the resource can be used in a range of industry contexts. Find out how to provide LLN support and build successful course outcomes, as well as how FSK Foundation Skill Training Package units can support TLI10 delivery. Meetings on Track (order now)

This is a WELL resource which has been developed for the rail industry to support the unit TLIE2029 Conduct Workplace Information Briefings. It also has relevance to the Foundation Skills Training Package unit FSKOCM09 – Use oral communication skills to facilitate workplace meetings. The resource consists of a DVD and a CD containing a facilitators’ guide and learners’ guide which are flexible enough for use and adaptation in many sectors. It will be available shortly and 500 copies will be available initially. GO TO THE https://tlisc.org.au/ WEBSITE to find the FREE resources.

Note from RTO Mentor:

TLISC has recently been appointed as the SSO for a range of industries which means they have changed their name to Australian Industry Standards. their focus is now on supporting the 11 Industry Reference Committee’s under the new arrangements for the development of Training Packages. The assessment resources we provided as TLISC are no longer available as they have not been updated to reflect the latest Training Package releases.
