There is something very special that happens to me when I hear from a client who has just been through an audit. The news allows me to believe I am assisting clients to live their dream. Last week was one of those weeks when the many months or weeks of working with clients all culminated in a rush of audits and ultimately compliances.

The advice comes in many forms, including a telephone call from Jonine saying it is disastrous, and then I hear laughing on the other end of the telephone – “we did it” with the sounds of a happy dance in the office.

Or the email from Alex simply stating ”all through, well done, thanks for your assistance”,

or the email from Pat that reads….”My initial audit for RTO registration was conducted yesterday, the audit was very thorough starting at 10:00 am and finishing around 4:00pm. It went extremely well with no non compliances being flagged.  I received a couple of improvement notices, which were minor oversights on my part. I would like to thank you for your help and mentorship in setting up the processes and documentation for an RTO.  Without your help I can see I would have ended up with several non-compliance registered and still with a lot of work to do. I would recommend any person/business contemplating starting an RTO to use your services.”

or John stating over the phone “excellent, great job. Thanks for all your help”

and an email from Wally, stating “thank you once again for your support in our addition to scope preparation”

All of these clients had different situations, however the outcome was the same, an audit. Jonine was reregistration, Alex and Wally wanted to extend scope, John and Pat were going for initial registration. Then there are the clients who we have assisted in finding RTO Compliance staff, who are now able to concentrate on their business, rather then working in their business.
